Samsung | 'Real Wireless Charging System Patent' | Exposure | Reflecting focused energy like Wi-Fi

According to foreign media reports, Samsung has submitted a 'real' wireless charging patent that does not even require a mobile phone to touch the charging panel. Various demonstrations of this technology have been available for decades, but only previously in sci-fi works. In the event of Samsung’s strong push, this dream will be snapshotted into reality. It is reported that this patent was submitted in Korea in 2016 and was published through the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

Of course, like many patents for technology concepts, this does not mean that we can quickly see the commercial use of related products. It is very likely that it is just an intended placeholder.

From the picture, the patent seems to be more about describing the way the system focuses the energy than the charger itself. It may need to use reflectors to bypass obstacles in order to get energy into the device. Similar to Wi-Fi.

The question now is whether Samsung has made significant progress in the development of such systems and the technology enables consumers to use the devices comfortably at home.
