Production of Synaptics Clear ID Optical Screen Fingerprint Sensor, First for vivo X21 UD

Sinaiptics, the world's leading developer of man-machine interface solutions, today announced that its FS9500 Clear IDTM optical screen fingerprint sensor supports the new vivo X21 UD smartphone. The X21 UD is the vivo second generation Smartphone equipped with a Synaptics Clear ID. Its first-generation smartphone X20 Plus UD was launched on CES 2018 and is now available. The Synaptics FS9500 Clear ID optical screen fingerprint sensor series is the world's first mass-produced smartphone solution.

The Synaptics Clear ID optical screen fingerprint sensor is designed for a full-screen design and can be placed inside an OLED touchscreen to eliminate the need for buttons and frames. Fingerprint icons on the screen can guide users and disappear after authentication. Clear ID is faster than Other biometric technologies, including 3D facial recognition, one-touch biometric authentication for a convenient experience. Clear ID also uses Synaptics SentryPointTM technology to provide OEMs with a wide range of unique and highly secure authentication software features, including support for adaptive Fingerprint template matching and certified Quantum MatcherTM technology.
