The Ministry of Science and Technology learned on February 27 that recently, the High-tech Division of the Ministry of Science and Technology recently organized the acceptance meeting for the “Advanced Fuel Cell Power Generation Technology” theme project of the “Twelfth Five-Year” National 863 Plan in Changchun. The project consists of 2 topics, Institute of Applied Chemistry, Changchun Institute of Technology, Wuhan Yintai Technology Co., Ltd., Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University, Dongfang Electric Group and other units jointly completed.
After many years of research, the project developed a proton for the application bottleneck of cost, efficiency and longevity of two types of fuel cell power generation technologies: the existing long-term power generation system for direct methanol fuel cells and the complementary energy supply system for kilowatt-class fuel cells and solar cells. Membrane electrodes for key materials and core components such as exchange membranes, nanoelectrocatalysts, and membrane electrodes with a peak power density of 262 MW/cm2 at 80°C; Conducted research on direct methanol fuel cell stacks and system integration technologies, and assembled rated output The power is 5 watts, 10 watts, 20 watts, 100 watts, 150 watts and 500 watts and other prototypes. The energy conversion efficiency reaches 26.3%, and the accumulated operation is 2600 hours. The decay rate is 8.9%. Two sets of 3 kW high-pressure hydrogen sources have been developed - Fuel cell integrated intelligent power system prototype, 1 set of 3 kilowatt low cost fuel cell backup emergency power supply system and 1 set of 5kW fuel cell power supply system, and trial at the communication base station.
As an important layout in the field of hydrogen energy and fuel cells in China, this project has broken through key technologies such as rapid fault diagnosis and response technology, fuel storage and supply technologies, intelligent management and control technologies, and system integration; and cultivated a group of key technical talents. It has provided a good guarantee for the establishment of China's autonomous hydrogen energy and fuel cell industry and its socio-economic development in important areas such as energy and transportation.
