Clariant, the leader in the industry of masterbatches and specialty chemicals, announced that its full range of masterbatches and composite products containing titanium dioxide, polymers, carbon black, pigments, dyes and additives will increase by 4%. 7%. (The degree of increase depends on the quality, grade and proportion of titanium dioxide, polymer, carbon black, pigments, dyes and additives)
The range includes white, black, multicolor, additive masterbatches and compounds involving REMAFIN®, RENOL®, CESA®, HiFormer® and MEVOPUR®. This up-scaling is effective from April 1, 2018 or when the contract allows. The reason for the price increase is that the prices of titanium dioxide, polymers, carbon black, pigments, dyes and additives have continued to rise. The rise in the price of these materials is also due to the imbalance in market supply and demand, the continued reduction in production of pigments and dyes, and the increase in raw material costs.
