This patent describes two solutions to prevent dirt, one is to prevent debris from entering through the seal gap; the other is to set the film under each button, every time the button action, there will be air discharge, so that the debris pop up.
It is reported that the patent was submitted as early as September 8, 2016, which is the second day after Apple officially released iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
