Thermoplastic polyurethane, a core component of the company's market outlook solution, enhances the performance of the Tesla Wireless Charger Model 3. This product was developed by a group of non-Tesla engineers and designers.
Tesla Wireless Charger Model 3 has a non-slip TPU coating and can be used with a variety of devices that comply with the Qi standard (wireless charging standard) such as the Apple iPhone 8, iPhone X and Samsung Galaxy series.
'Anti-skid TPU coating design allows ridges and textures to create a shock-absorbing effect together, keeping the phone position from shifting,' Tesla said.
The wireless charger uses Tesla's pre-USB interface, allowing both phones to be charged at the same time. In addition, it is compatible with both FCC and CE.
The Tesla Wireless Charger Model 3 will be available in April. Its R&D team is working on developing versions of the Model S and Model X models.
