Dutch Klean 3D printed giant Madonna with 100,000 plastic bottles

Klean, a Dutch organization dedicated to reducing and reusing plastic pollution, has used plastic waste and 3D printers to remake Madonna, one of the most iconic women in art history.

The project has been underway since 2016 to address the marine problems that lead to plastic pollution. Klean showed a huge Madonna on the beach in Rio de Janeiro in June 2016 in commemoration of World Ocean Day, to be exhibited in Amsterdam at the same time A smaller 3D printed version.
