Acciona 1.09 billion euros to sell five solar thermal power plants in Spain

According to foreign media reports, Acciona, the Spanish renewable energy company, has formally signed an agreement with ContourGlobalplc., A British company recently, and Acciona will sell 5 of its 5 solar thermal power plants in Spain (with a total installed capacity of 250MW) to Contour.

The transaction amounting to a total of 1.09 billion euros, according to both parties to the contract negotiations, if follow-up power plant operation can meet certain conditions, the transaction amount may be adjusted to about 1.12 billion euros (an increase of 027 million euros).

Acciona Group expects to reduce its debt by € 760 million this year if the transaction is finally completed.

The five thermal power plants sold by Acciona are located in Spain, each with a capacity of 50 MW of trough power plants, namely Palma del Río I & II in Córdoba, Majadas in Cáceres and Alvarado and Orellana in Badajoz. 2009 ~ 2012 completed and put into operation.

After this transaction, Acciona owns a total of 8,772 MW of power plant assets, 84% of which are wind farms, in addition to photovoltaic, hydropower, biomass, etc. In the solar thermal sector, Acciona Group also owns 64MW of Nevada Solar Oneplant Photovoltaic Power Station.
