Rock wool is a kind of commonly used inorganic building materials, and a large amount of abandoned rock wool is produced in our country each year. Due to the lack of recycling technology, rock wool is usually directly accumulated or buried, which not only occupies a large amount of space but also causes some environmental pollution. A low-cost, efficient and easy treatment, turning waste into treasure to promote the recycling of waste rock wool.
The research group carried out a series of physical and chemical modification on the waste rock wool to prepare a carrier material with a large number of micro and nano pores and functional groups, which can greatly improve the dispersibility of the nano-iron and load the nano-iron to prepare a novel heavy metal remediation agent. The repairing agent can efficiently capture and reduce hexavalent chromium and control its migration, thereby inhibiting crop uptake of chromium and improving food safety.In order to promote its industrial application, the repairing agent is used as a filter element to develop a novel filtration system for chromium The industrial wastewater treatment provides a light and simple solution, which has the advantages of simple process, low cost and reusability, provides an effective technical supply for water and soil heavy metal pollution treatment, and provides a new way for waste rock wool recycling.
