Continuation of modular mobile phone concept | Google three-section notebook design patent exposure

Recently, foreign media exposed Google's concept design patent for a 'three-segment notebook', which filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Patents Authority (USPTO) in August 2016 but was not released until February of this year. Screen and keyboard dock, the patented central axis part is also independent.Obviously, Google hopes to create a support for switching between the various modes of the laptop.

In one of these figures, Google portrays its three-segment structure, in the order of screen, processor + memory + battery, and keyboard base, though the most innovative part is still on their connectors.

On the barrel hinge, a standard connection points anchored a plurality of components. In this way, Google re-invented their never officially produced modular smartphone (pity was cut off Project Ara project).

With this lesson Project Ara, and we do not have this modular notebook out much hope. But if I become, I believe we will be very happy.
