Everlight: Seoul Semiconductor Infringement Patent Litigation Still in Progress

LED package maker Everlight said today that litigation against Seoul Semiconductor and its distributors against Everlight's patented technology is still in progress and Everlight believes the patent will be effective and will safeguard the interests of customers and shareholders.

According to the press release of Everlight, Everlight filed a patent infringement lawsuit against the District Court of Mannheim in Germany on May 4, 2017 and June 3, 2017, respectively, suing Seoul Semiconductor Co., Ltd. and its Neumuller dealer compromised Everlight patented technology.

Everlight asked the court to issue an injunction against the infringing products of Seoul Semiconductor and its distributor Neumuller, including the prohibition of trafficking, manufacture, import and export, recovery, destruction of inventories and damages.

In response to the recently announced litigation related news by Seoul Semiconductor, Everlight said it does not affect the current patent infringement lawsuits claimed by Germany and the United States.
