According to 9to5mac reports, John Thune has issued a five-page open letter a few days ago in which it questioned the performance management capabilities on the iPhone several times and asked if similar features were also configured on new phones such as the iPhone 8 and iPhone X.
In response, Apple pointed out that both the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X have been 'hardware-upgraded' to enhance the device's performance management capabilities to anticipate and avoid unplanned shutdown problems on older iPhones.
Apple further pointed out that all iPhone models are equipped with the basic performance management functions to protect the battery and system operating environment, protect the internal parts.When the temperature is too high, the above functions will ensure that the operating environment within the safe range. This type of basic performance management can not be shut down because of the security issues.
