China's exports to the United States last quarter, the solar panel 12 times the previous three quarters

In order to avoid the 30% import tariffs announced by U.S. President Trump, the U.S. customers imported a large number of solar panels from China in the fourth quarter of last year, causing the Chinese-made panels to submerge the U.S. solar market.

According to a report from Bloomberg New Energy Finance on Friday, China delivered almost 12 times more solar panels to US customers in the fourth quarter of 2017. American manufacturers also import solar panels from Mexico, Canada and other countries and Battery, to circumvent the import tariffs announced last month.

Tariffs do not apply to the first 2.5GW of imported products this year, but up to 5GW of solar equipment has been stored in warehouses and ports across the country, says Hugh Bromley, a solar analyst at New Energy Finance, About six months of demand will undermine the impact of U.S. protectionist policies on manufacturers.
