T-Mobile due to loopholes caused the user to lose dozens of bitcoin

T-Mobile was recently sued by a man from Washington called Carlos Tapang due to the company's security breach that made hacking last fall into his account and stealing thousands of dollars worth of bitcoin.

As early as November 7 last year, T-Mobile was tapped by Tapang for "allowing unauthorized access to another person's account."

Tapang alleges in Law360's first lawsuit: "Hackers canceled my mobile number directly on the first day, and they immediately moved Bitcoin to their AT & T account, but until the next day T-Mobile was unable to make up Vulnerability.

According to Tapang, a hacker can change his password on his bitcoin account after getting his mobile number, and they have successfully stolen 1,000 'OmiseGo' (OMG) tokens and 19.6 bitcoin.

Later, the hackers switched all their coins out of Bitcoin (around 2.875 bitcoins) out of their accounts, and on Nov. 7, bitcoin was $ 7118.80, meaning that hackers tasted sweetness of $ 20,466.55 last year.

Tapang went on to say: 'Since then, the price of Bitcoin has soared to more than $ 17,000.00 per dollar.' But the market is volatile and always up and down, and hackers are likely to not benefit from it.

Part of the lawsuit comes back to prosecution in part because the company promised to add a password to Tapang's account in the past to ensure foolproofness but failed to do so.

At the same time, Tapang also pointed out that hackers can call accounts to T-Mobile users to obtain access to the account several times, and finally when they get an access agent, simply do not need to make a direct call to access the user account.

The lawsuit not only sued T-Mobile and several other anonymous Internet users-they shared similar security holes in their T-Mobile accounts.

Although the lawsuit did not elaborate on why hackers always find Tapang trouble, The Verge has also encountered a Bitcoin-related theft, but also involves the issue of cell phone number, so Tapang is definitely not a case.

Tapang was distressed to say that now he not only can not use his cell phone number, but also has to spend time, money and energy, and more seriously because of the mental harm it has done, which is why he is looking for compensation and relief.

Currently, we have no contact with lawyers at T-Mobile and Tapang, but hopefully it will give T-Mobile a warning.
