Alphabet announces that Nest smart home is back to Google's

According to U.S. media on February 8, Alphabet posted a blog on February 7 that the Nest smart home brand will be re-included into Google's group.

Alphabet reorganized its structure in 2015 when Alphabet considered Nest a 'Other Stake' and should become a subsidiary with the same legal status as Google, but then Nest experienced product issues and the CEO's departure, and Google also raised the bar on home Product smart speaker attention, its smart speakers and Amazon Echo.

Alphabet Bowen said reintegration into Google could "make Nest's mission better." According to CNET, Nest's current chief executive, Marwan Fawaz, will head over to Google's hardware division Head of Rick Osterloh reporting, the merger means that Google's AI will be like a smart assistant, later more inclined to Nest products.

Sundar Pichai, Google's chief executive, also disclosed this at a fourth-quarter earnings call.

Google Tweets said: "Our team has a close cooperation, which is a good start for our cooperation and we are very pleased that Nest can become an integral part of Google's hardware plan."
