NXP 2017 annual revenue of 9.26 billion US dollars, down 3%

Set micro-grid news, NXP Semiconductors released today fourth quarter and full year 2017 (as of December 31, 2017) financial reports and performance.

In the fourth quarter of 2017, NXP's total revenue was $ 2.46 billion, up 1% sequentially and 3% quarter-over-quarter, due to the divestment of the standard product business in the first quarter of 2017. The high-power mixed-signal products business reported total revenue of $ 2.35 billion in the fourth quarter, Representing a year-on-year increase of 14% and a 3% quarter-on-quarter increase. NXP's revenue for FY17 was $ 9.26 billion, down 3% year-on-year, due to the divestiture of standard products at the beginning of the year. Driven by the demand for automotive MCUs, advanced analogue and infotainment products, the Automotive Division generated $ 970 million in revenue in the fourth quarter, up 12% from a year earlier; its full year 2017 revenue was $ 3.76 billion, up 11% from the previous year. Fourth quarter revenue of $ 745 million was primarily driven by demand for mobile transactions, general purpose MCUs and high performance application processor products, an increase of 31% year-on-year. The Connected Device Business Unit reported full-year 2017 revenue of $ 2.59 billion, an increase of 21 %.
