Houston, January 31 (Bloomberg) According to data released by the U.S. Federal Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers Association on Wednesday, ethylene production in the United States increased in the fourth quarter of 2017, while inventories were below the level of the third quarter.
Data show that ethylene production in the United States hit 15.739 billion pounds in the fourth quarter, 1.474 billion pounds more than the 14.265 billion pounds produced in the third quarter. Total ethylene production in the United States was 60.543 billion pounds in 2017, an increase of nearly 2.223 billion yuan from 58.12 billion pounds in 2016 lb.
In the fourth quarter of last year, AFPM said ethylene production in the United States increased by 1.028 billion pounds over the same period in 2016, when production was 14.711 billion pounds.
