Intel single-chip Xeon-D new exposure: upgrade Skylake architecture, up to 18 cores

Intel's single-chip SoC product Xeon D will be updated this year Skylake architecture (said to be Skylake-SP, supports AVX-512 instruction set), six new material has been fully exposed.

Xeon D for many consumer-level users is very strange, but on the network equipment, computers, firewalls and other fields, it is a good player.

Specifically, the flagship model D-2191 uses 18-core 36-thread design, 24.75MB cache, clocked at 1.6GHz, power consumption 86W, the price of 2406 US dollars (about 15,151 yuan).

Entry-level model is D-2141I, 8 core 16-thread design, 11MB cache, clocked at 2.2GHz, power consumption 65W.

Between the two models are the 16-core Xeon D-2183IT, 12-core D-2166NT and D-2161I, respectively.

The above information is Heise.de Pants out from Supermicro's website, is expected to market in the first half of 2018.

In other parameters, Skylake architecture Xeon D supports DDR4-2666 memory, up to 256GB ECC (previous generation is 128GB) or 512GB LPDDR3 memory, support for 10 Gigabit Ethernet.
