Foxconn announced that it will invest NT $ 10 billion in artificial intelligence and industrial internet

SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 2 (Reuters) - Foxconn said Friday it plans to invest NT $ 10 billion (342 million U.S. dollars) in areas related to artificial intelligence and industrial internet.

Lv Fangming, executive vice president of Foxconn, said: 'We will definitely not weaken R & D and technology investment and we hope to invest NT $ 10 billion in artificial intelligence applications and related industrial internet in the next few years.'

She also said: 'We already have an AI team, but that's not enough, we need more people.'

This Thursday, Hon Hai Foxconn Industrial Internet Company submitted a listing application to the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Earlier reports also said that Foxconn will build artificial intelligence-related laboratories in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing and Shenzhen to further recruit talent.
