Alipay announces entry into Israel | Official mobile payment service to the Middle East

According to foreign media reports, Alipay, China's online mobile payment tool, announced its entry into Israel to bring mobile payment services to the Middle East.

Israel will become the first country in the Middle East to use Alipay, which has expanded internationally in recent years and will serve Chinese tourists and business travelers visiting Israel.

Israeli airlines El-Al, chain duty-free shops James Richardson and jewelers Diamond Mines are among the first merchants to access Alipay.

In 2017, China traveled more than 123,000 tourists to Israel, up 45% over the same period of 2007. The average Chinese tourist in Israel spent an average of 9 days staying in Japan during this period, spending about 300 U.S. dollars (1916.79 yuan) per visitor per day during this period.

Israeli businesses have shown great interest in the economic benefits of Chinese tourists, and many have already announced that they will choose Alipay as their payment option.
