Mitsubishi Motors and Vietnam Government | To promote the use of electric vehicles

According to foreign media reports, Mitsubishi Motors announced on January 15 that it signed a memorandum of understanding with the Vietnamese government to promote the use of electric vehicles in Vietnam.

Tran Tuan Anh, Minister of Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade, said at a news conference: 'We are very pleased to sign a memorandum of understanding with Mitsubishi Motors, and Mitsubishi Motors will be our key partner. Joint research with Mitsubishi Motors in electric vehicle research will help Vietnam The transition to a low-carbon economy is a very important milestone.

Kozo Shiraji, executive vice president of Mitsubishi Motors, said: 'We look forward to sharing Mitsubishi's advanced technologies in the field of electric vehicles and exploring what policies the government should make to promote this revolutionary technology.'

Although sales of vehicles in Vietnam have been growing steadily in recent years due to economic growth, environmentally friendly vehicles such as pure electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids have not been well promoted, and the urban air pollution in Vietnam has become more and more serious.

In addition, Mitsubishi Motors has also signed similar memorandums of understanding with the Philippines and the Indonesian government.
