According to the Japanese Ministry of Trade and Industry, the production of polyurethane in Japan from January to October 2017 was 163,000 tons, an increase of 12.1% over 2016.
Japan produced 11,500 tons of soft foam in October 2017, up from 10,000 tons in October 2016. Japan produced 6,800 tons of rigid foam in October 2017 compared with 5900 tons in the same period of 2016.
According to the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the country's output has increased for a continuous period of 24 months, rising from 10.1% in June to 12.1% in October, up from the same period of last year.
