January 4, 2018 - Covestro LLC announced that Aleta Richards will succeed Christine Bryant as Business Operations Director for the North American coatings, adhesives and specialty chemicals (CAS) business with effect from February 1, 2018. Richards's appointment follows Bryant's appointment as North America's new head of polyurethane, effective on the same day.
Richards will be appointed to the new position to join North America's leadership team.
Richards started his career with Covestro (then Bayer Division) in 1990, is very familiar with the company and has more than 20 years of experience in marketing, sales, human resources and management.She has served throughout the company Over four leadership positions including North American CAS Group, leading global sales and strategic marketing for major clients for four years Richards also serves as Head of Human Resources for Bayer USA, providing human resources management services to approximately 14,000 Bayer employees.
Richards currently serves as regional product manager for North American polycarbonate business.

While her business responsibilities will change, Richards plans to continue as executive director of the Covestro ACCESS Employee Resource Group, an intranet of African American employees, and she co-chairs a book club for female colleagues.
Richards, a Pittsburgh native, has a bachelor of marketing and international business degree and M.B.A from the University of Pittsburgh.
