China's first carbon fiber rod ultrasonic testing device put into trial operation

As a new type of oil pumping equipment, carbon fiber sucker rod has significant advantages in energy efficiency, deep extraction and workover frequency reduction, which is the new direction of development and application of oil recovery technology .However, how to achieve its production by testing Quality control and reliability of the operation process is a major issue for the promotion and application of the technology.To this end, special equipment testing center of the Technical Testing Center takes the lead in carrying out the "Research on Testing and Evaluation Technology of Carbon Fiber Continuous Sucker Rod" And participated in the project of Sinopec "carbon fiber continuous rod testing and evaluation system research and development."

In order to effectively solve practical problems in the popularization and application of carbon fiber sucker rod and ensure the effective operation of the project, the technicians have studied intensively and extensively studied and tested a number of nondestructive testing technologies to determine the feasibility of continuous on-line ultrasonic testing. Based on the working conditions of the carbon fiber sucker rod production line and the characteristics of the ultrasonic technology, the technicians carried out the research and development of the testing device. After continuous experiments and program changes, the online testing device for the carbon fiber sucker rod based on flooding ultrasonic was finally developed.

The successful commissioning of the testing device marks the successful completion of the hardware test of the carbon fiber sucker rod testing and evaluation system, and in the future, the technical testing center will aim at accurately evaluating the sucker rod product quality, carrying out ultrasonic testing signals and mechanical properties of the carbon fiber sucker rod Correspondence between the research; determine the product quality ultrasonic testing evaluation standards to achieve the online application of the technology to promote carbon fiber rod in the oil field promotion and application.
