The project of "rapid detection and evaluation of internal combustion engine airflow" overcomes three major problems of airflow evaluation technology, airflow design technology and airflow consistency control technology, and opens up a new technological path of airflow-oriented efficient and clean combustion of internal combustion engine.The project consists of Tianjin University, Yuchai shares, Dalian University of Technology three units to complete.

The project of "Method and Equipment for Manufacturing Complex Molding without Die Forming" lasted 10 years and broke through the key technologies of high-efficiency, high-performance and high-precision die-less forming of complex castings. The project made great achievements in process methods, composite molds, and system equipment The great achievement has realized the moldless, high precision and high efficiency manufacture of complex castings, shortened the manufacturing cycle, improved the quality of castings and reduced the cost.The project was jointly completed by the Institute of Mechanical Science, Yuchai and other units.

The project "Development and Industrialization of Key Technologies for a New Generation of Ultra-Low Discharge Heavy Duty Commercial Diesel Engine" achieved high efficiency and low emissions throughout the entire operating range through the use of an efficient cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) air system and an advanced low-emission combustion system The effective thermal efficiency of the engine is close to a high of 45% .This project is jointly completed by Tianjin University, Yuchai and other units.
