In December, 4G mobile phone shipments reached 462 million with 810 new models listed, down 11.0% and 34.6% respectively year-on-year, accounting for 94.1% and 76.9% respectively.

Among the 4G mobile phones shipped in December, the full-size handsets accounted for 89.4% of the total. From the network standards supported by 4G mobile phones, the proportions of FDD, TD-SCDMA, WCDMA and cdma2000 networks were 98.8%, 99.5% and 98.4 %, 89.6%.

In January, the shipment volume of smartphones was 461 million units, down 11.6% from the same period of last year, accounting for 93.9% of the domestic handset shipments in the same period, of which 383 million handsets were shipped from Android handsets.

In December 2017, 58 new models of smartphones were listed, down 45.8% from the same period of the previous year, accounting for 64.4% of the total number of new models of mobile phones in the same period, supporting 53 models of the Android operating system. From January to December, 799 models, down 35.8% from a year earlier, accounting for 75.8% of the total number of new models in the same period, of which 623 models supported the Android operating system.
