Energy Bureau: China's electric car charging facilities still exist four major issues

Recently, Guo Wei, deputy inspector of the National Energy Administration, said that although the construction of charging facilities for electric vehicles in China has been fully launched, there are still four problems: weak foundation and insufficient development potential.

First, there are many vehicle pile manufacturers, charging pile interface, especially the DC interface is still not compatible with the situation, the level of operator platform interoperability is relatively low, the problem is still quite prominent;

Second, the ownership of new energy vehicles is relatively small, and most users are their own charging piles. The average utilization rate of public charging piles is less than 15%, the profitability of the industry is relatively low, and the business model needs to be further explored.

Third, due to the unreasonable layout and the inadequate maintenance, a lot of faults and zombie piles appeared in some areas.In addition, the charging interface security standard needs to be improved, and charging information and payment also face some risks of network security loopholes;

Fourth, due to large power supply costs within the red line in the district, the obstacles in the institutional mechanisms for the installation of private charging posts still exist. This also requires all parties to push for solutions as soon as possible.

In the recent two years, the charging facilities in our country have developed rapidly. By the end of October 2017, a total of 195,000 public charging stations have been built nationwide, an increase of 82% over the same period of the previous year. There were 188,000 private charging stations, an increase of 214%.

Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and other places have established a city-level charging facilities operation and management platform.State Grid, Putian New Energy, special calls, IMC and other companies have also established an enterprise-class platform.

'The next step will be to leverage the leverage of financial awards at all levels to actively leverage the role of industry associations such as the Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance to accelerate the integration of various charging service platforms and provide smarter and more convenient charging for new energy vehicle users Service. 'Guo Wei said.
