FutureMetrics's report shows Japan's demand for biomass fuels (including wood pellets, palm kernel (PKS), domestic biomass and imported wood chips) will have a significant impact on Japan's biomass supply by 2025 as Japan's biomass is an important part of its energy future Up 351% from 2017. It is estimated that the demand for wood pellets will reach nearly 10 million tons by 2025.
This forecast is part of FutureMetrics' latest research report, 'Japan Biomass Outlook 2017' and is the first comprehensive outlook for the Japanese biomass market.
Seth Walker, a senior economist at FutureMetrics, spent more than four months doing major research and analysis in order to write a comprehensive report, a 72-page study containing 53 charts and five Appendix table provides detailed information on the demand for biomass in Japan.
