GM Plastics recently introduced a high-performance closed-cell polyurethane foam to provide radomes and antennas with transparent radio protection.
Suitable for applications requiring low dielectric constant and low loss, the foam is available in 3, 4, and 6 lb./dcf plates or blocks and is custom densified to meet specific dielectric performance requirements.
In addition, large foam blocks allow complex shapes to be machined directly without the need to pre-foam the foam board.
The material is compatible with processing temperatures up to 177 ° C. It does not absorb water and therefore dielectric properties are not affected by rain, snow or sea water.
