According to Platts recently reported in London, informed sources said the Turkish petrochemical giant Turkey Petrochemical Corporation has recently raised the price of polyvinyl chloride.
Informed sources added that the price of K67 / K68 grade PVC produced by Petkim increased by 25 to 1250 U.S. dollars per ton.
Reuters reporter did not immediately contact Petkim's comments Monday.
Petkim made the above price-raising decision after Standard & Poor's Global Platts raised its price of polyvinyl chloride (CFR Turkey) by US $ 20 to US $ 900 a tonne on the 6th.
Industry sources said that the main reason for raising prices for PVC in the S & P Global Platts is rising ethylene contract prices.
