Now that it's time for the end of 2017, major handset makers are busy testing the Android Oreo update, hoping to get the job done this year.
Essential Phone, the first phone released by Android's father, is officially promised to release an update as soon as it's debuted with the Android Oreo system. Just last month, Essential released the first Android 8.0 Oreo beta, now officially announced second A test version.
According to foreign media reports, after this update, the system version number of Essential Phone comes OPM1.170911.213, fixes some, however, and adds some new features, such as smart text selection, picture-in-picture and so on.
Essential Phone, who previously participated in the first beta test, should receive this update, which will be sent over OTA.
