The first edition of the 5G standard is signed by: covering low, medium and high tri-band | mobile phone 2019 out

According to Fierce Wireless, 3GPP today officially signed the first version of the 5G NSA (Non-Standalone) standard in Lisbon, capital of Portugal.

This means that the hardware vendor's device development work can begin now.

According to the 3GPP plan, the 5G standard is divided into two types: NSA and Standalone Independent Network (SA) networking, in which the 5G NSA network is a transitional solution. The main objective is to improve the hotspot area bandwidth without independent signaling plane. Work with the core network, the development of relative standards faster.

SA standard plan signed in June next year, such as China Mobile led version will be completed over the same period.

Since standard texts were downloaded later this week, 3GPP only disclosed that the threshold for 5G NSA calls is very broad, down to 600-700 MHz and up to 50 GHz (Qualcomm calls millimeter waves) in spectrum.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology program, China's 5G carrier frequency band is Sub 6GHz IF, also covered in this standard range.

Previously, users exposed a Qualcomm / Huawei / Intel / Samsung 5G baseband reserves, the progress and technology are more similar.Currently, Qualcomm confirmed the first 5G mobile phone launched in the first half of 2019, Huawei is the second half.

Not surprisingly, 5G's first large-scale indoor and outdoor commercial next year's PyeongChang Winter Olympics will emerge.
