The LT8364 can be configured as a boost, SEPIC or negative output converter with a switching frequency settable between 300kHz and 2MHz, allowing designers to minimize the size of external components and bypass critical frequency bands (eg AM radios). In addition, the device delivers over 90% efficiency when performing switching at 2MHz Burst Mode® operation reduces quiescent current to only 9μA while maintaining output ripple below 15mVP- P. The combination of a small 4mm x 3mm DFN package or a high voltage MSOP-16E package with a tiny external component ensures a very compact footprint and minimizes solution costs.
The LT8364's 100mΩ power switch provides efficiencies greater than 95% and it also provides spread spectrum frequency modulation to minimize EMI issues. A single feedback pin is responsible for setting the output voltage (whether the output is positive or negative) to a maximum Reduced Pin Count Other features of this device include external synchronization, programmable undervoltage lockout (UVLO), frequency foldback, and programmable soft-start.
The LT8364EDE is available in a 4mm x 3mm DFN-12 package, while the LT8364EMSE is available in a high voltage MSOP-16E package (4 pins removed for high-voltage spacing). Industrial temperature stages (-40 ° C to 125 ° C ) Versions (LT8364IDE and LT8364IMSE) and high temperature (-40 ° C to 150 ° C) versions (LT8364HDE and LT8364HMSE). All versions are available from stock. For more information, visit www.linear.com/ product / LT8364.
