Samsung says fully equipped batteries with 'graphene balls' will take only 12 minutes, compared with an hour's worth of existing batteries to fully charge.
As the graphene battery can be stable up to 60 degrees Celsius, the new battery is also expected to be used in electric vehicles.
Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology said they have released the study to Nature Communications magazine titled "Graphene Ball for Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery Supporting Rapid Charge, High-Volume Energy Density" and in South Korea And the United States applied for a patent.
