Siemens Gamesa, a German Siemens subsidiary, is aiming to capitalize on Taiwan's offshore wind power market with NT $ 1,000,000. It recently announced that it will sign an offshore wind power cooperation memorandum with Taiwan's port authority for off-shore wind power development in Taichung Port.

According to Andreas Nauen, chief executive of Siemens Gamesa offshore division, according to official sources, Taiwan's offshore wind power industry plans to generate over 10GW of electricity in total.
