The Snapdragon 845 processor is not the only major event Qualcomm announced at a technology summit, and the U.S. company also announced it will support Google's recently launched Android Oreo Go system.

Qualcomm said that once Google released Android 8.1 Oreo Android Open Source Project (AOSP), then the low-end Snapdragon processor will soon be compatible with the Android Go platform.
