Solvay has partnered with GKN Aviation's Fokker division to promote the use of thermoplastic composites on aircraft, and Solvay will be the supplier of choice for Fokker lightweight composites.
The two companies said thermoplastic composites can reduce the weight of aircraft components by 25% over traditional metal solutions.
