Recently, Vestas received its first order in Russia - 14 V126-3.6MW fans, which is reportedly the first order signed by Vestas and Finland's Futeng Clean Energy Group after winning the first wind power auction project in Russia Under a binding framework agreement between the two parties, Vestas will provide 4 MW platform products for the Russian wind power project.
Under the agreement, Vestas and the Futeng Group will work together to expand their wind power business in Russia and build strong manufacturing capabilities and supply chains with local partners, including the construction of a blade factory in Ulyanovsk, Construction of a cabin assembly plant in Grodo and the construction of a tower plant in Rostov.
Nilsde Baar, Vestas Central Europe's president, said it reflects Vestas' commitment to Russia and that the company will take a proactive approach to building a more sustainable energy structure in the world's fourth-largest electricity market.
