Professor Yang Deren has long been engaged in large-scale integrated circuits with silicon monocrystalline materials, solar photovoltaic silicon materials, silicon-based optoelectronic materials and devices, nano-silicon and nano-semiconductor materials research work.
Yang Deren, born in April 1964, Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, graduated from Zhejiang University with a major in semiconductor materials. Now he is a professor of Materials Science and Engineering School of Zhejiang University and director of the State Key Laboratory of Silicon Materials of Zhejiang University.
His academic contribution: mainly engaged in semiconductor silicon material research, made a series of innovations; proposed nitrogen doped very large scale integrated circuit Czochralski silicon micro-defect ideas, the system solved the problem of nitrogen-related defects in the basic science, Which has promoted its extensive application in the world. The idea of controlling the lattice distortion with germanium doped with trace amount of germanium was put forward, and a series of technologies for the growth of trace amounts of germanium doped silicon crystals were invented. The basic scientific problems of the related silicon crystals were systematically solved and the practical application was realized. The preparation, structure and properties of nanosilica were successfully fabricated, and new types of nanostructured semiconductor materials such as nanosilica were prepared successfully, which provided the material basis for the research and application of their devices. More than 680 SCI papers were published and 5 books in English were written, More than 130 invention patents.
Academician Yang Deren said that being elected academician is only a new starting point.I studied mostly in the field of semiconductor materials and more than 90% of electronic products are related to silicon materials.I hope I can make more in the field of my own work I would like to emphasize that this is not me personally, as a result of the efforts of all of our teams.
