LUXEXCEL successfully installed spectacle lens 3D printer in the United States

Luxexcel, a Belgian 3D printing optics specialist, will successfully complete the installation of two Luxexcel VisionPlatform products throughout the United States in 2017. The kit includes Luxexcel's VisionEngine lens 3D printer and operating software supplied to IFBSolutions, North Carolina, State pursuit of eye care professional laboratory in January 2018 to use.

The first installation of the VisionPlatform took place at IFBSolutions in Winston-Salem in mid-November 2017. Lens 3D printing technology

The 3D printing technology used internally in the Luxexcel VisionEngine is based on a reductive polymerization process using a photo-curable acrylic resin as the main raw material, which enables unique lenses to be manufactured at a rate of up to four lenses per hour and then coated and framed by the wearer.

A key advantage of this process compared to traditional abatement methods is that it does not waste any of the basic materials.

Correct the new wave of technology

Custom lens needs are caused by many complex eye problems that can be corrected with specially made lenses, and prisms and surfaces can also be made using this process.
