From November 27 to November 28, the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Chinese Academy of Sciences respectively announced the list of new academicians in 2017. Jiang Jianchun, standing director of China Renewable Energy Society and vice chairman of the Biomass Energy Special Committee was elected as academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; and China Renewable Energy Yang Deren, executive director of the Institute and vice chairman of the PV Special Committee, was elected an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Academician Jiang Jianchun has long been devoted to the research and development of forestry chemical industry and biomass energy technology, focusing on scientific research on biomass fluidized gasification technology and equipment, gasification and power generation, catalytic cracking, pyrolysis liquefaction and biodiesel preparation. He has successively presided over over 20 key projects of the state and ministry and authorized 85 patents and published over 300 papers in domestic and foreign journals and won 1 first prize of national science and technology progress and 2 national science and technology progress awards Award 3, the provincial ministerial reward 7. Academician Yang Deren has long been engaged in the research work of silicon monocrystalline materials, solar photovoltaic silicon materials, silicon-based optoelectronic materials and devices, nano-silicon and nano semiconductor materials for very large scale integrated circuits.
