Google plans to double the Japanese business team

Alphabet Inc. subsidiary Google is expanding in Japan to lend a wave of technology investment in Asia to challenge Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) and Microsoft Corp. (MSFT).

Google said on Friday it plans to relocate to a new Tokyo office in 2019 that accommodates more than double its current employees, and said it is also looking to use big data in Japan, machine learning and expanding its cloud of businesses New ways of service.

Google announced the Japanese plan falls on the occasion of the company invested heavily in Asia, the purpose is to catch up with Amazon and Microsoft's cloud storage products and other services.

That could spark Google and Yahoo Japan Corp. for engineers in the tight labor market, and Google, like Google, is investing in building its own big data and machine learning foundation facility.

A Yahoo (Japan) spokesman declined to comment on Google's plan.
