Huawei Cloud released a new example of flexible computing services ---- FACS FP1 at Huawei All-in-Connection Conference in September 2017. The FP1 instance enables users to rapidly develop applications using an easy-to-use development kit and cloud-based EDA authentication service To deploy and deploy new FPGA-based services and applications FP1 instances are tailored and optimized for every aspect of the development process, benefiting both professional hardware developers and advanced language users.
The interactive demonstration at Supercomputing Conference 2017 demonstrates the powerful performance advantages of HUAWEI's FACS platform relative to the CPU-based HPC platform based on video coding and compression scenarios, with demonstrations from Huawei cloud partners NGCodec and DeePhi respectively highlighted Video encoding and deep learning capabilities.FP1 example demonstrates the use of Xilinx technology for compute-intensive cloud applications (such as data analysis, genomics, video processing and machine learning, etc.) to provide 10 to 100 times the computational acceleration of Huawei FP1 Instances Powered by up to eight Virtex UltraScale + VU9P FPGAs and configured with 300G Mesh interconnect topologies for better performance scalability, the conference also highlighted Huawei's basic cloud services and platform technology solutions.
At present, the FP1 FPGA acceleration cloud service has been provided through Huawei Cloud. To register for a beta version, visit http://www.huaweicloud.com/product/fcs.html.
