Toshiba, which has a shortage of funds, said earlier that it is considering selling its PC business to strengthen its balance sheet and avoid being delisted by exchanges, which make up only a small part of Toshiba's business.
Asus and Lenovo have not commented on this.
PC business accounted for only 3.5% of Toshiba's net revenue in the first half of fiscal April to September of this year. Toshiba announced in September that it will put memory at $ 18 billion due to the debts incurred by the bankruptcy of the U.S. nuclear business Chip business sold to Bain Capital led the consortium.
Earlier this week, Toshiba also announced that it will sell TV business to Hisense for 12.9 billion yen (about 115 million U.S. dollars).
