| CARMAT, a French company dedicated to the development of completely artificial hearts, has signed a cooperation agreement with OEMAddUp, a 3D printing company that co-operates with Michelin Group and Fives Group, aiming to strengthen the heart of CARMAT in the industrial development of 'artificial hearts' Production ready.  The goal of CARMAT is to create artificial hearts for irreversible heart failure and to improve the quality of life of patients. CARMAT challenges include compatibility, automatic adjustment of heart physiological demands to patients, effective miniaturization, and the development of suitable portable energy sources. Vincent Ferreiro, CEO of AddUp, said he is pleased to have the opportunity to link their unique additive manufacturing technology with an innovative healthcare program such as CARMAT. |
