One hundred tons methanol aromatics pilot plant

Produced aromatics liquid products
Recently, the Methanol Conversion Team of State Key Laboratory of Coal Conversion, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanxi Metallurgical Transformation Team completed a pilot test of one ton methanol-to-aromatics (MTA) pilot plant in Taiyuan, Grade methanol to aromatics pilot plant, the installation of the device debugging and equipment optimization, a successful test drive. During the test, not only get through the entire production process, but also the independent research and development of the catalyst and process conditions to verify and optimize, to achieve Operating conditions such as automatic control of feed and discharge flow rate, temperature and pressure, etc. As of now, the plant has achieved stable operation at full load for 500 hours and produces qualified aromatic hydrocarbons. All the technical indicators have reached and surpassed the domestic equivalent technology (methanol conversion rate 100%, liquid hydrocarbon yield 31%, aromatic selectivity 83%).
Methanol conversion to aromatic hydrocarbons is the process of converting methanol to aromatic hydrocarbon products using methanol as the raw material and is an effective process for using coal or natural gas instead of petroleum resources to produce aromatic hydrocarbon products such as benzene, toluene and xylene, and alleviating the shortage of aromatic hydrocarbon resources , To extend the coal chemical industry and natural gas chemical industry chain is of great significance.
Shanxi Institute of Coal Methanol Aromatics (MTA) technology has been the Chinese Academy of Sciences strategic pilot science and technology 'low-rank coal clean and efficient use of cascade key technology and demonstration' and related businesses to support the use of self-developed two-stage continuous flow flow fixed bed reaction process The research team has undergone a long-term perseverance and unremitting research, focusing on methanol directed conversion technology, carried out the reaction mechanism, catalyst design and process optimization work in Chem. Soc. Rev., J. Catal., ACS Catal., Chem. Commun ., Green Chem. Published more than 20 papers, on this basis, developed a new catalyst for high value-added aromatics based on coal-based methanol and supporting the process line, aromatics selectivity, reaction operation stability and technological breakthroughs The completion of one hundred tons of methanol to aromatics pilot plant and the steady operation of the plant further promoted the industrialization of the technology.
