Dongfang Electric signed three host contracts of Wangji Thermal Power Project in Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe, Wangji Phase III 2 × 335MW thermal power project host contract signing ceremony held in Jinan, Dongfang Electric and China Power Construction once again work together to welcome the 'One Belt and One Road' opportunity to build.

Dongfang Electric and China Power Construction have maintained good cooperation in the field of energy construction and jointly go dozens of power plants in Pakistan, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, Turkey, Ethiopia and other countries.This signing follows the success of Mambah 2 × 150MW thermal power project, the two sides work together in the field of thermal power projects in Africa, but also the two groups to further implement the strategic cooperation agreement.

The project is Zimbabwe's largest infrastructure construction project in 30 years and will greatly solve the local electricity demand and promote local economic and social development when it is put into operation.When President Xi Jinping made a state visit to Zimbabwe in December 2015, The expansion agreement for the project, which is also Dongfang Electric's largest thermal power project currently exported to Africa.

Mr. Mu Guanhua, Deputy General Manager of China State Construction Engineering International Corporation and Mr. Zhang Shitao, general manager of China State Construction Engineering Corporation attended the signing ceremony.Wang Jun, Deputy General Manager of Dongfang Boiler, Mr. Xu Ye, Deputy General Manager of Dongfang Turbine and Mr. Li Yunjun, Deputy General Manager of Dongfang Electrical Machinery, Power Construction International Engineering Co., Ltd. signed the supply agreement of the three main hosts of 2 × 335MW thermal power project in Wangji Phase III of Zimbabwe.
