In October 2017, the total retail sales of consumer goods reached 3.4241 trillion yuan, up 10.0% from the nominal figure (a real increase of 8.6% after deducting the price factor, unless otherwise specified), of which retail sales of consumer goods above designated size reached 1.4374 trillion yuan, Increase by 7.2%.

From January to October 2017, the total retail sales of consumer goods reached 29,741.9 billion yuan, up 10.3% over the same period of last year, of which retail sales of consumer goods above the designated size reached 13,161.8 billion yuan, an increase of 8.3%.

According to the location of business units, in October, the retail sales of urban consumer goods reached 2.9357 trillion yuan, up by 9.8% over the same period of last year; and the retail sales of rural consumer goods reached 470.4 billion yuan, up 11.3%. From January to October, the retail sales of urban consumer goods stood at 25.5129 trillion yuan, up 10.0% %; The retail sales of rural consumer goods reached 4,290 billion yuan, up 12.0%.

In terms of types of consumption, in October, the revenue from catering services was 385.2 billion yuan, an increase of 10.3% over the same period of previous year; the retail sales of commodities was 3.0389 trillion yuan, up 10.0%. From January to October, the catering revenue was 3.2279 trillion yuan, up 10.9% over the same period of last year; , An increase of 10.2%.

In retail sales, in October, the retail sales of commodities above the designated size reached 1.3467 trillion yuan, an increase of 7.3% over the same period of 2007. From January to October, the retail sales of retail sales of goods above the designated size reached 12.3686 trillion yuan, an increase of 8.4% over the same period of last year.

From January to October 2017, online retail sales in the country were RMB55.35 trillion, up 34.0% over the same period of 2013. Online retail sales refers to the sum of the retail sales of goods and services through public internet trading platforms (including self-built websites and third-party platforms), including physical goods and non-physical goods (such as virtual goods, service goods, etc.) ).

Total retail sales of consumer goods include online retail sales of physical goods, excluding online retail sales of non-physical goods.

Survey respondents

Industrial enterprises and self-employed individuals engaging in retail activities or providing catering services, of which the above-mentioned units refer to the wholesale enterprises (units) with annual principal business income of 20 million yuan and above, retail sales of 5 million yuan and above Enterprises (units), 2,000,000 yuan and above accommodation and catering enterprises (units).
