Placing a microchip in your brain to release its full potential sounds like the latest episode of science fiction.
But according to Brian Johnson, an expert in the device, the technology of the future could become a reality in 15 years, and Johnson claims that the chip will allow people to buy and help you to delete the memory and will soon be affected by the smartphone welcome.
Johnson, founder of the startup nuclear company developing brain microchips, this week at a network summit in Lisbon, said releasing the potential of the soul is 'the greatest thing' that humans can do.
He said: 'I hope that in 15 to 20 years we will have a sufficiently powerful brain tool that we can ask any question we want to solve. For example, can I have a perfect memory? I can delete my Memory? Can I improve my learning speed?
Although you might think such a device is for the rich, Johnson believes the brain chip will be as popular as a smart phone.
He said, 'The bigger question is this is a luxury or a necessity?'
The company has begun testing patients with epilepsy in the hospital and has achieved good initial results.
But before developing for a healthy person, the company hopes to use the device to improve memory in patients with degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's.
In an interview with New Scientist, Johnson said: 'Our idea is that if you lose memory, you can build a fixer to help restore the circuit and restore memory.'
