
The Cypress WICED CYW43907 evaluation kit from Mouser Electronics is based on the Cypress CYW43907 system-on-chip (SoC). The CYW43907 wireless SoC combines dual-band 802.11n (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) Wi-Fi and 32-bit ARM® Cortex®-R4 application micro- Controller subsystem with 2 MB SRAM and multiple standardized interfaces including Ethernet (RMII / MII), UART, SPI / QSPI and I2C interfaces.
The evaluation board operates at 3.3 V and features an RJ-45 Ethernet connector, an on-board PCB antenna, an external antenna connector, an on-board programmer and debugger, and a microSD card slot. In addition, Arduino Uno compatible connectors are also available, allowing designers to add hardware capabilities to sensors and other peripherals via the off-the-shelf Arduino expansion board.
In addition, Cypress also offers Wireless Internet Connectivity for Embedded Devices (WICED) Studio that supports the CYW43907 evaluation kit, an Internet-of-things software development kit (SDK) that includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth in an integrated development environment (IDE) ® and combined connectivity libraries and sample code for use in wireless applications including home automation, healthcare, health and fitness, audio and industrial IoT.
